The meeting brought together representatives from more than 30 European cultural institutions and individual members of the network for a moment of stocktaking and strategic definition. The focus was on developments in the European project Art Nouveau as a New EUtopia, as well as updating ongoing initiatives and preparing for the evaluation of RANN as a Council of Europe Cultural Route. Of particular note on the extensive agenda was the favourable vote on the applications for membership of this network by the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Tournai (Belgium) and the City of Glasgow (Scotland).
João Ferreira-Santos was also one of the 30 participants selected at international level for the RANN Summer School 2025, on the theme of Bringing Art Nouveau Heritage Back to Life, which will take place in Brussels between 30 June and 4 July. The training programme includes conferences, technical visits and debates with international experts in various areas of heritage study such as architecture, restoration and heritage mediation, reflecting the collaborative and interdisciplinary dynamism of this initiative.
